The soloist of The Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow Laureate of International Contests Alexander was born in Krasnoyarsk. In 1996 he graduated from the Krasnoyarsk State University of Art (Professor Yofel class). His career started in 1993 on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre. As one of the leading tenors he performed in "Khovanshchina" (M. Musorgsky), “Eugene Onegin ” ( P.Tchaikovsky), “ Il Barbiere di Siviglia” (J. Rossini), “The Bartered Bride” (B. Smetana), “ La Traviata” and “Un ballo in maschera” (G. Verdi) and others. In 1997 Alexander was invited to the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre where during 19 seasons has performed almost all existing “tenore di grazia” parts : The Prince (“Rusalka” by A.Dargomyzhsky), The Yurodiviy- The Holy Fool (“Boris Godunov” by M.Mussorgsky), Lensky (“Eugene Onegin ” by P.Tchaikovsky),C In Alexander’s repertoire, there are parts from the rarely performed operas by Russian and European composers, such as : Bellidor (“Sister Beatrice” by A.Grechaninov), Chasseur (“Switezyanka” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov) Alexander’s name constantly appears on the event posters of the leading concert halls in Moscow - The Big Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow International House of Music, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. In different years the singer has worked with many famous modern conductors - Y. Bashmet, E. Kolobov, V.Polyansky, V. Ponkin, M. Fedotov, V.Fedoseev, E.Klass, S.Stadler, S.Lysenko, E.Samoilov, А. Capasso, N. Nekrasov, A.Tausk , V.Gorelik, S.Kondrashev,V.V Alexander has also worked with popular stage directors such as : R.Viktyuk, A. Sigalova, Y. Grymov, V.Heifits, Y. Alexandrov, M. Efremov, E. Moshinsky, he is often invited to the different TV shows hosted by the Rusian show-biz celebrities like Anastasia Volochkova and Dmitry Malikov. In 2003 Alexander Bogdanov received a prestigious Irina Arkhipova’s Fund Award and in 2007 became a winner of the “National Heritage” Award. In the past few years Alexander debuted in three new productions in the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre – «Prince Igor» by Borodin (Vladimir Igorevich), «Cinderella» by Rossini (Ramiro), project «The Nutcracker . Opera» by Tchaikovsky (Farther) and at the moment he is working on Rudolph’s part in Puccini’s “La Boheme”. Alexander is well known for being one of the best performers of the tenor’s part in the scenic cantata «CARMINA BURANA» by C.Orff and he is very often invited with it to the various theatres and concert halls. Alexander Bogdanov has been with the Art-project “The TenorS of the XXI century” from the day of its’ foundation. |
